My first job was in the shipping and receiving department at the interactive children’s book publishing company Klutz Press, world-renowned for such literary masterpieces as “The Encyclopedia of Immaturity,” and “Juggling for the Complete Klutz.” Packing hundreds of boxes full of books and rubber chickens is the undisputed cornerstone of my intellectual trajectory.

I have since worked in libraries at the Rhode Island School of Design, the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art, the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, the Southern California Institute of Architecture, Monterey County Free Libraries, and the Whittier Public Library.
